A homeopathic medicine is obtained from a precise and controlled process of successive homeopathic dilutions. With each homeopathic dilution, the medicine is deconcentrated and then vigorously shaken (also called “succession”). This dilution is used to manufacture the final homeopathic medicines.
Suitable for everyone (adults, children, infants and the elderly), homeopathy can be used as much for the treatment of daily illnesses (coughs, colds, flu, dental flares, muscular pains, etc.) as for chronic pathologies (asthma , anxiety, fatigue and depression, arthritis, etc.)
In any case, you must respect the doctor’s recommendation and the advice of your pharmacist. Always read the label and follow the directions for use.
There are more than 3, 000 base substances used in the preparation of homeopathic treatments. Each substance is classified by its international scientific name, which is expressed in Latin (Arnica montana for example) so that health care practitioners around the world can identify it quickly and accurately.
There are generally no contraindications between allopathic and homeopathic medicines when taken simultaneously. Your health care practitioner may prescribe a homeopathic treatment alone or in combination with other medicines. It is important to follow their recommendations and ask for advice if in doubt. If you are unsure about a specific combination, check with your doctor or pharmacist.

Boiron oral medicines should be dissolved in the mouth as they will be absorbed through the mucous membrane on the inside of the mouth. The mucous membrane is thinnest under the tongue, so absorption will be quickest when dissolved under the tongue. When chewed or swallowed, the pellets pass through the digestive system and thus take longer to act.
Most chronic conditions can be relieved with homeopathic medicines. However, the patient’s assessment and diagnosis must be given by a skilled practitioner, trained in homeopathy. Furthermore, every homeopathic treatment is specific to the individual, so there is no generic protocol for these conditions.
Most of the time, homeopathic medicines are unlikely to interact with so-called conventional medications. They are usually devoid of side effects. If in doubt, seek advice from your healthcare practitioner or pharmacist.
As with any medicine, pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a health care practitioner before use, including Boiron homeopathic medicines. Always read and follow the label.
